Women+ for Western Health Pitch Night 2025

Western Health Foundation is delighted to invite our community to an evening of inspiring talks, networking and research innovation at the Women for Western Health Giving Circle Pitch Event. This Giving Circle welcomes people of all ages and genders, including trans and non-binary people. It is free of charge to all people who are signed up members.

The Women for Western Health Giving Circle is a membership-based program that brings together like-minded people looking to connect and make a meaningful impact to improve the health of Melbourne's west. As a current member you have the opportunity to attend the Western Health Giving Circle Pitch Event.

Giving Circle:

The Women for Western Health Giving Circle Pitch Event is only open to members who have a current Giving Circle membership. Members are able to attend the Pitch Event and vote for a preferred research project.

Pitch Event Format:

Giving Circle members will hear pitches from Western Health researchers regarding their research projects.

MSc Solange Bernardo – Fracture Liaison Nurse/Clinical Nurse Consultant, Co-investigator of the Western Health Fragility Fracture Registry

Dr Myrla Sales – Principal Investigator (PI) of the Western Health Fragility Fracture Registry

Pitch presentation: Cholesterol in Check, Back in the Game

Natalie Lumsden – Manager WH@Home

Pitch presentation: Saving babies - supporting mothers to Quit 

Suzanne Kosmider – Sessional specialist, Cancer Services

Grace Gard – Sessional specialist, Cancer Services

Members will vote for the project they believe should receive the $50,000 funding grant. Industry mentoring is provided to shortlisted applicants by Business in Heels.
