On Friday 16 May 2025, Western Health Foundation welcomed over 130 golfers to the picturesque Medway Golf Club for our annual Charity Golf Day — a highlight on our fundraising calendar and a day that once again united our corporate partners for a vital cause.
Thank you to our wonderful partners for supporting the success of this day

As the sun warmed the fairways, corporate teams gathered on the clubhouse balcony, fuelled by fresh coffee and breakfast rolls, ready to take a swing for better healthcare in Melbourne’s west.
Following a warm welcome and briefing led by Gary Lisbon from golf partner GOLFSelect, the 4 Person Ambrose competition began. With picture-perfect weather, 32 teams took on 18 holes and enjoyed more than just the game — with the Food Hub on the 10th Hole proving to be a highlight, including freshly shucked oysters by Oyster Lux, gin tastings by Patient Wolf, donuts from Krispy Kreme, fine wine by Austin’s, snacks from Rauland, delicious cheese from Calendar Cheese Co. and more.
Each hole was proudly sponsored by one of our Hole Sponsors Plenary Health, Hassett, Stowe Australia, A.G. Coombs, Kwill, Multiplex, Mindray, and NCS Project Solutions, making the course a showcase of community spirit and collaboration.
Post-round, guests came inside for a delicious three-course lunch in the Medway Golf Clubhouse, where comedy legend Lehmo MC’d a vibrant awards presentation and live auction. Special guests included Professor Russell Harrison (Western Health CEO), Nicky Buckley (TV personality and avid golfer), and Sharon Read (Acting Foundation Director), each highlighting the impact of the cause.
The 2025 event aimed to raise $340,000 in support of Western Health’s surgical robotic program — transforming patient outcomes with greater precision and faster recoveries.
We are so pleased to share that we exceeded our target, reaching a grand total of $350,000 — including an incredible $100,000 gift from Diamond Sponsor, Cafe Adamo. This small family-run cafe has been a part of Western Health for over a decade and wanted to support WH and were able to do so in this truly unforgettable way.

The event wrapped up with spirited bidding on auction prizes, from Stakes Day marquees, Sofitel stays and exclusive dining with AFL legend Easton Wood, as well as the announcement of the day’s golf winners.
A huge thank you to every sponsor, player, donor, and volunteer. Your support means more patients like Ray and Sarah will benefit from cutting-edge care.
Congratulations to our 2025 Charity Golf Day award winners
